10 years completed by Spitzer Space Telescope in Space

From past 10 years NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope situated in the space. NASA celebrated this completing of 10 years by launching Delta II Rocket. Studies made by the telescope are scrutinised galaxies and planets, Counted stars, asteroids, comets. Spitzer discovered Bucky balls. These balls are soccer ball shaped carbon spheres in space.


Transaction Charges Reduced by NCDEX

NCDEX is Commodity Derivatives Exchange. For the members NCDEX decided to reduce transaction charges. Main objective to reduce the charges is to make the customers to do business easily as stated by Samir Shah, in charge Managing Director NCDEX. This will be implemented from September 1st onwards. Till now transaction charges for the daily turnover of Rs.200 crores is Rs.62500. Now it was reduced to Rs.45000.

73 Alternative Investment Funds are allowed in India

SEBI (Securities Exchange Board of India) allowed 73 Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) to India fro the operations. Till April SEBI has given permission only to 49 AIFs. Now number has reached to 73. Major AIFs registered with SEBI are DSP Blackrock Alternative Investment Fund and Edelweiss Alternative Investment Trust, Monsoon Alternative Investment Trust, Tata Alternative Investment Fund, HBS Raksha Movies, Landmark Opportunity Fund, Arth Capital, KKR India.

New Forms Announced by SEBI to check Illicit Funds

With the view to check flow of Illicit Funds in the issuance of shares, SEBI has given new forms. SEBI make it compulsory for payment and allotments to be done directly through the beneficiary’s accounts.

Zinc Lead Silver Project acquired by Legacy Iron Ore Ltd

An agreement was signed between Legacy Iron Ore Ltd and TNG Ltd. This agreement was signed regarding the acquisition of Zinc Lead Silver Project.

8 % share of TVC Sky shop purchased by Morpheus Fund

TVC Sky shop is multi Channel Virtual Retailer. Morpheus Fund is private equity firm. 8 % share of TVC Sky shop purchased by Morpheus Fund for Rs.42 crores.

Henry Rebello, Former Athlete, Passes Away

Henry Rebello, Former Athlete, Passes Away at the age of 84. Henry represented India in 1948 Olympic Games . Rebello was highest quality triple jumper. He was self trained athlete. Henry trained himself by racing against car and running up and down staircases. In Sports Authority of India he acted as Director.

Apollo ties up with University of Rochester

University of Rochester Medical Centre had a tie up with Apollo Hospitals. Both the institutions will share multispecialities such as neurosciences, emergency medicine, gastroenterology and they will also share in clinical care and expertise as stated by Chairman of the Apollo Group, Pratap C Reddy. Emergency care Scheme of school children introduced as a part of 25th annual celebrations of Apollo.
