71st anniversary of Quit India Movement
Mahatma Gandhi launched Quit India Movement on 9th August 1942 and now this is the 71st anniversary of Quit India Movement.  This was the final campaign for independence. In this movement every women, children were also participated along with men.  Movement is more in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Bombay, Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh.



LIC Housing Finance Limited launched Sanchay

New Public Deposit Scheme named Sanchay was launched by LIC Housing Finance Limited. Rate of Interest is 9.5 % on 5 year deposits. Minimum deposit amount is Rs.10, 000. For the senior citizens 0.10 % extra interest will be paid for the deposit amount of Rs.50, 000. If the deposit amount is Rs.51, 000 or more extra interest is 0.25 Per cent. Crisil has given FAAA Stable rating for the public deposits.

RBI Business banking acquired by Ratnakar Bank

RBS Credit cards, Business banking and mortgage portfolio acquired by Ratnakar Bank. Purchased amount was not disclosed. As per the deal 1.2 customers has to transfer to Ratnakar Bank but employees of RBS remain with RBS itself.

Ganfort and Combigan Drugs are banned by IPAB

Ganfort and Combigan Drugs are manufacturing by Allergan Inc. These are ophthalmic drugs.  IPAB (Intellectual Property Appellate Board) has banned these medicines. IPAB stated that due to lack of invention patent rights are banned. Allergan Inc is the US major pharmaceutical company.

Banks can act as Insurance Brokers

IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority) has given permission to act banks as insurance brokers. But some conditions have to fulfil. One of those conditions is RBI has to give approval to act as an Insurance Brokers. Till now RBI has not taken any decision regarding this.

Investment norms Relaxed by IRDA

IRDA has given permission to insurance companies that they can give more funds to infrastructure finance companies and Housing finance companies. At present insurance companies are funding only 10% of equity. But from now onwards this will increase to 20%.

Sindhu entered into Semi Finals of World Badminton Championship

PV Sindhu has created a new history in India. She is the first women to enter into semi-finals of World Badminton Championship. To enter into semi finals she won the match against Shixian Wang who belongs to China.

Robot can Remove Fatal Clots from the Brain

Scientists have designed a Robot Arm system to remove fatal clots in the brain using steerable needles. Vanderbilt University has developed new image guided surgical system which helps to reduce damage of the brain and blood clot will be dissolved through this system. These researches are done under the guidance of Robert J Webster.

40 years Mystery was Broken Down

During 1970, radio telescope discovered Magellanic stream in the space. Till now no one know how this stream is coming out. Scientists are having a doubt whether it is coming out of the satellite galaxies. Now mystery was revealed. While stream is coming toward the Milky Way gravity is more and pressure is more. This pressure leads to war between Magellanic Clouds. This leads to production of the stream.

MERS Virus is carrying by Camels

MERS is deadly virus. Scientists believed that this virus is carrying by the Camels. Most effected countries due to this virus are Saudi Arabia and Middle East. Till now 94 cases confirmed that they are died due to this virus. In Saudi 46 deaths were recorded. MERS – Cov full form is Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corona virus. 349 blood samples of goats, sheep’s, cows, camels are taken to test for this virus. Test proved that Camel is having the virus.


68th Anniversary of Atomic Bombing on Hiroshima and Nagasaki

On 9th August 1945, US dropped 2 atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki with the intension to capture Japan. In this incident 70,000 people died in Nagasaki and 1, 40,000 people died in Hiroshima.

Present News Corp Australia Chief is Kim Williams quits his position. Rupert Murdoch appointed in his place. Kim holds his position just for 20 months.

Global Delivery Centre of CSS Corp Opened in Costa Rica

CSS Corp is a technology Support and Consulting Company. It has opened its global delivery centre in Costa Rica. Laura Chinchilla, President of Republic Costa Rica, was inaugurated. Its main focus is on network and application support and software development to the enterprises.
