Rabindranath Tagore, a Bengali Poet, died on 7th August 1941. Today is the 72nd Death Anniversary of Tagore. He is the Author of Gitanjali. He was a Novelist, Composer, Play Wright, Artist, and Philosopher. Tagore was first Non European to win Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913.
Food Security Bill introduced in Loksabha
Food Security Bill introduced in Loksabha. Through this bill 3/4th of the population will get subsidised food. Bill was introduced by KV Thomas, Food Minister. AK Antony objected this bill stating that securing the life of soldiers is more important than undertaking this type of bills. Under this scheme 80 crores people will be beneficial. They will get 5 Kgs of food grains at Rs.1 to 3 per Kg every month.

64% decrease of Essar Shipping Net Profit
First Quarter Results released by Essar Shipping. Net profit reduced by 64 % and reached to Rs.19.41 crores. In the last financial year i.e. 2012-13, Net profit of the company is Rs.53.90. Main reason to reduce the revenue is due to Logistic services scale down.

19 % increase in the Net Profit of Apollo Tyres
In the first quarter results of the financial year 2013-14, Apollo tyres increased net profit by 19 %. Net profit reached to Rs.166 crores. In the last financial year (2012-13) net profit of the company is Rs.139 crores. On March 31st 2013 Company announced an increase of 0.50 paisa dividend per share.
Huge planet around the Sun is GJ 504b
Astronauts discovered huge planet around the sun. Name of this planet is GJ 504b. By using Subaru Telescope images of this planet was captured. It is having lowest mass of all the planets discovered till now. This planet is in dull magneta colour. Estimated distance from sun is 43.5 AU.

G2 an Android Phone launched by LG on 7th August 2013. Buttons of the phone are under the main camera. It is having rare key concept. This is more powerful than Galaxy S4. This was launched by Dr.Jong Seok Park who is the President CEO of LG Electronic Mobile communications. Dolphins have longest memory
University of Chicago scientists made several researches on non human species. Report has stated that of all the non human species Dolphins have longest memory. If Dolphins separated from the current companions and placed in some other place, even after 20 years they can recognise their companions. This was declared after making research on 56 bottle nose dolphins.
78 Government websites hacked
A report was revealed by Minister of State for Communication & IT Milind Deora relating to hacking of websites. In this year (2013) 78 Government websites were hacked. Till now 16,035 incidents related to malware infections, spam and system break were recorded.

India’s first public sector Beast Milk Bank was launched by Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata. Main intention to meet the basic needs of newly born children. This will be more helpful to the children whose mother dies after giving birth.
