International Youth Day
International Youth Day is an awareness day designated by the United Nations to be observed on 12th August every year. This year’s observance of International Youth Day focuses on the issue of youth migration.
The theme for 2013 is Youth Migration: Moving Development Forward.
Colin Michael Foale Perform Space Walk
Colin Michael Foale was most experienced British Astronaut. He was a first British person to perform space walk . He retired from NASA during the second week of August 2013. He belongs to 1987 NASA Group. Born on 6th January 1957. He had a record that he spent 374 days 11 hours and 19 minutes in space. In July 2000, he received honorary degree from Lincolnshire and Humberside University.
Indian Exports is Rs.25834.46 millions in July 2013
Ministry of commerce has released a report regarding the exports in the month of July 2013. As per the survey Indian exports is Rs.25834.46 millions US Dollars during July 2013. During July 2012, exports are valued at Rs.23140.43 millions. Increase in the exports is 6.31 %. During July 2013, Imports were valued at Rs.38, 102.56 million US dollars. During July 2012, imports are valued at Rs.40619.45 million US dollars. Negative growth is 6.20 %. Crude oil and Non Oil imports were valued at Rs.12709.4 million US dollars. In the last year imports were valued at Rs13, 816.9 million US dollars. A negative import was Rs.8.02 %.
Yatra.com domain is Temporary Shutdown
Domain name registered on 9th August 2000. It was expired on 9th of this month. From past few days it is not working. Official announced that due to technical problem it is not working. Today fact revealed that manager forgot to renewal the domain. This incident affected Rs.20 to Rs.30 crores of sales.
All –aluminium cycle producing unit opened by Hero cycle
In Ghaziabad All –aluminium cycle producing unit opened by Hero cycle. Annual installed capacity of the plant is 1 lakh. Unit was launched by Pankaj Munjal Co- chairman and Managing director of Hero cycle.
Revenue of Indian Railways was Rs.44260.16 crores
Ministry of Railways revealed a report that revenue of Indian Railways was increased in Rs.44260.16 crores during the first quarter of the financial year 2013-14. In the last year revenue recorded as 39969.24 crores. Increase in the revenue of the Indian Railways was 10.74 %. Total goods earnings have gone to 30,492.06 crores as against 27924.26 crores. Passenger revenue increased to Rs.11631.28 crores as against Rs.10320.40 crores in the last year.
Smart City Kochi Project got permission from Single Window Clearance Board
For the construction of Smart city Kochi project, Single window Clearance Board has given permission. Approval was given by PH Kurian, Information Technology Principle secretary.
Modern Graphics Won Eight National Awards
For excellence in Printing Modern Graphics achieved Eight National awards. This was organised by All India Federation of Master Printers. In the printer category also company got special Jury award as Star Printers of the Year. Award given by Javed Akhtar (lyricist and poet) to Devan, Managing Director of Modern Graphics.
INS Vikrant launched in Kochi
INS Vikrant was an aircraft carrier. It was successfully launched from Kochi by Elizabeth Antony (wife of Ak Antony, Defence Minister). For both Indian Navy and for ship building industry it was the historic moment. Wide is 60 meters, length is 260 meters. This is the first indigenous aircraft carrier.
Prithvi II Missile was launched by SFC
SFC (Strategic Force Command) launched Prithvi II missile. Operation monitored by DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation). This was launched as a part of user training from ITR launch Complex III. Under the guidance of IGMDP (India’s Prestigious Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme) this missile was developed. This is the first missile of IGMDP.
Austim affect is more in Females
Austim Research centre revealed a report studied on Austim. Austim affects the brain in different way in men and in women. Effect will be more in Females. Austim Research Centre located at University of Cambridge. In the survey team has studied 120 scans of male and female. Though it is more in female, it is difficult to diagnose the disease in Females.
50 cases Booked with High Fine amount of Rs.1000
For the violation of traffic rules more than 50 cases are booked with high fine amount of Rs.1000. Reasons for the cases include dangerous driving, driving without proper permit, signal jumping, talking on mobile phones, illegal parking, over loading of goods .
MSO Blocked Entertainment Channels in Krishna and Guntur districts
In order to support Samaikanyandhra Movement MSO (Multiple System Operators) blocked Entertainment channels for 12 hours from 6 AM to 6 PM as stated by Saibaba, Siti cable Director.
