* K. K. Paul – Appointed as the Governor of Meghalaya on 1 July 2013. (Replaced – Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary)
 
* Shriniwas Dadasaheb Patil – Appointed as the Governor of Sikkim on 1 July 2013. (Replaced – Balmiki Prasad Singh)

* Nirbhay Sharma – Appointed as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh on 29 May 2013. (Replaced – General Joginder Jaswant Singh)

* Devanand Konwar – Appointed as the Governor of Tripura on March 9, 2013 (Replaced DY Patil).

* D. Y. Patil- Appointed as the Governor of Bihar on March 9, 2013 (Replaced Devanand Konwar).

* S. C. Jamir - Appointed as the Governor of Odisha on March 9, 2013 (Replaced MC Bhandare).

*  Nikhil Kumar – Appointed as the Governor of Kerala on Appointed as the Governor of (Replaced Karnataka Governor H R Bhardawaj who had the additional charge of Kerala).

*  Ashwani Kumar – Appointed as the Governor of Nagaland on March 9, 2013 (Replaced Nikhil Kumar).

In the year 2012, the list of Newly Appointed Governors are:

* Aziz Qureshi - Appointed as the Governor of Uttarakhand on 15 May 2012 replaced Margaret Alva.

* Margaret Alva – Appointed as the Governor of Rajasthan on 12 May 2012 replaced Shivraj Patil.

* Bharat Vir Wanchoo – Appointed as Governor of Goa. Took office on 4 May 2012.
