Amjad Ali Khan received Rajiv Gandhi National Sadhbhavna Award. He received this award for his contributions towards the portion of peace and harmony. On the occasion of Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi he received this award.  Along with Citation he received Rs.5 lakhs as cash price. Former receipts of this award were KR Rarayanan, Maulana Wahiuddin Khan, Dilip Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Harsh Mander, Swami Agnivesh, Teesta Setalvad, Mohammed Yunus, Bismillah Khan, and Mother Teresa.

Food Security schemed launched by Sonia Gandhi

Ambitious program i.e. Food security scheme launch by Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on the occasion of Late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi Birthday. Initially this scheme started in Uttarakhand, Haryana and Delhi. This scheme introduced to improve the life of the common man. Under this scheme government is providing 62 million tonnes of cereals, wheat and rice. Government is supplying to 67 % of the population. France approved to sell Meropenem by Venus pharma

Meropenem, a generic injectable broad spectrum antibiotic, can sell in France by Venus Pharma which is the subsidiary of Venus Remedies Limited.  After this approval Venus pharma attained fifth position in the pharma market.

Manu Gandas won three Medals At Youth Asian games

At youth Asian games Manu Gandas achieved third medal (silver medal). He got this award after finishing stroke play. Average Per Capita Expenditure for Muslims is Rs.32.66

Government made a survey on the living standard of the religion. Of all the religions low standard of living is Muslim religion. Average Per Capita Expenditure for Muslims is Rs.32.66 per day.  Sikh community is much better than the Muslim community. Per capita expenditure is Rs.55.30 per day. Bored Teens killed Australian Base ball Player

3 Bored teenagers decided to kill a person for fun. Christopher Lane, Australian Base Ball player visited to Duncan town with his girl friend. They have targeted him and shooted him. All the three were 15 to 16 age group. Incident happened on Yesterday but first degree murder charges on today. He was taken to custody as stated by Danny Modi, Police chief.

Aadhar Website of kids

In order to meet the need of the school children, Nodel Agency of Ministry of HRD has launched Aadhar website for kids. This will be beneficial in two ways. One is, this will be useful for the education department to resolve the issues rose to school students. Another one is it will be useful for the student community also. This program initially undertaken in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. In this area 7.60 lakh students are registered under this website.

69^th Birth Day of Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi

TYPES OF CHEQUES

Rajya Sabha Passed Waqf Bill

Waqf Bill passed by Rajya Sabha Considered United Progressive Alliance recipe for stopping encroachment of Waqf properties. This was passed in loksabha 3 years ago. Government accepted amendments suggested by Selection committee. Bill would be helpful to the poor Muslims by using waqf properties for commercial use as stated by Rahman Khan, Minority Affairs Minister. This would generate Rs. 1 lakh crores per year.


Crop Insurance Scheme Introduced by Reliance General Insurance

Reliance General Insurance launched weather and yield based crop insurance schemes. Initially it starts with 5 different countries namely Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Haryana, and Uttarakhand. By the end of 2013-14 company aims to join one lakh farmers in this scheme. Union Government has given permission to introduce the scheme in 21 states in India and NAIS (National Agricultural Insurance Scheme) has approved to protect 50 district farmer.

Ivan Menezes CEO of Spirits Company Diageo plc annual pay package is Rs.105 crores. On May 2013 he appointed as CEO of the company. Earlier Paul Walsh acted as CEO and Ivan Menezes acted as COO (Chief Operating Officer) of the company. He promoted to CEO on July 1^st 2013. Total debt level of Indian companies increased by 15 %

A research report stated that total debt of 10 leading business houses increased by 15 %. Earlier it was 6 lakh crores. This business houses include Adani, Essar, Vedanta, Reliance Group. Cumulative debts of these 10 groups reached to Rs.6, 31,025 crores as against Rs.5, 47,361 crores in the last year end.

World Photography day celebrates on 19^th August 2013 every year. French Government has announced this day. Joseph Nicephore Niepce and Louis Daguerre developed Photographic process. This process is known as Daguerreotype. Invention day of this Daguerreotype is known as World Photography day. On 9^th January 1839, French Academy of sciences announced this process. But on 19^th August 1839, French Government declared this invention as a gift to the world.

DPR submitted by RITES regarding water ways

Rail India Technical and Economic Services (RITES) made a study on waterways between Bangladesh and India. DPR (Detail Project Report) Submitted by RITES. Kishore Ambuly, Transport Department Secretary, has stated that study has made to create new inland water transport between Gomati and Howrah rivers in the state with Meghna and Titas Rivers of the neighbouring country. For smooth movement of barges the river will have navigation.

New Director General of CRPF is Dilip Trivedi

Dilip Trivedi appointed by Union Ministry of India as Director General of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force). Largest paramilitary Force is CRPF. He was senior IPS officer. In the place of Pranay Sahay he was appointed. Pranay retired on 31^st July 2013.  At the Delhi head quarters, currently he is acting as Special Director General of the border Security force.

 MEP on Onions is Rs.650 US dollars Per Tonne

Minimum Export Price (MEP) on onions is Rs.650 US dollars per tonne. This was imposed by Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry.  MEP was imposed as per the guidelines given by DGFT (Director General of Foreign Trade). In the major cities price of Onions is Rs.80.  Exports during April – July are 6.39 lakh tonnes.  In the year ago period exports of onions was 6.94 lakhs tonnes. In 2012- 13 productions of onions is 16.6 millions. Main onion producing areas in India are Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Hemant Soren approved Rs.2297 for construction of Roads

For the construction of roads in different states Hemant Soren approved Rs.2297 crores. This amount will be funded by ADB (Asian Development Bank). Amount will utilise for 5, 500 KM By pass roads. These roads are Govindpur to Tundi, Khunti to Tamar, Sahebganj via Taljhari to Tinpahar, Giridih to Jamua, Dumka to Hasdiha.

In Top 20 list of wanted criminals in India, one person was Abdul Karim Tunda. He was ideologue of Lashkar E Taiba. On Friday he was arrested by Delhi Special police at India Nepal Border. In 1993 he made 20 blasts during Babri Masjid demolition.

Desh Prem Azad, Famous Cricket Coach, is no more

Desh Prem Azad passes away. He was a famous cricket coach. Azad had coached several test cricketers including Kapil Dev. He was 75. Azad passes away due to brief illness. Southern Punjab, Maharaja of Patiala’s XI, Haryana teams represented by Azad, as a cricketer. In 2002 he was awarded Wisden Cricket Award. Yograj Singh, Ashok Malhotra, Chetan Sharma were coached by Azad. He acheived Dronacharya Award.

Kalyan Mitter, Former Bengal all rounder, Passes Away

Kalyan Mitter who was former Bengal all rounder is no more. From past few years he was suffering with Leukemia. He was 79. He also acted as coach. Between 1953 to 1969 from 51 matches he took 50 wickets and scored 1698 runs. Matches include 2 Ranji Final matches. During 1992- 1994 he acted as coach to Bengal team. He was an off spinner and right hand batsman.

At the facilitation program, Sheila Dikshit chief Minister of Delhi given certificate and gold rated plaque presented by Prem C Jain, IGBC Chairman and Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry). Cost of this stadium is Rs.300 crores.

Swavalambana Pension Scheme for Low Income Group People

Guwahati Government implemented Swavalambana Pension Scheme to Low income Group People. This scheme will start initially with Social Welfare Department for Anganwadi Workers. Under this scheme if person pay Rs.1000 years to the Government, it will give another Rs.1000 to that people. This scheme introduced under Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).
