* K. K. Paul – Appointed as the Governor of Meghalaya on 1 July 2013. (Replaced – Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary)
 

* Shriniwas Dadasaheb Patil – Appointed as the Governor of Sikkim on 1 July 2013. (Replaced – Balmiki Prasad Singh)

* Nirbhay Sharma – Appointed as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh on 29 May 2013. (Replaced – General Joginder Jaswant Singh)

* Devanand Konwar – Appointed as the Governor of Tripura on March 9, 2013 (Replaced DY Patil).

Sports:
1) ICC Champions Trophy 2013 : India Beat England to Win ICC Champions Trophy 2013 at Birmingham.

2) French Open 2013:

A. Rafael Nadal won his 8th Men's Singles Tittle of the French Open Tennis Tournament. Nadal beat Spanish David Ferrer.

B. Serena Williams won the Women's Singles title of French Open Tennis tournament. In the final, she defeated Maria Sharapova.

C. Bob and Mike Bryan won Doubles Title at French Open 2013.

3) Indian Girl's team won the Gold medal in the Slovak Junior ITTF Open Table Tennis tournament held in Senec, Slovakia. In the title clash, the Indian Girls, beat Serbia.

4) Raghav Joneja, became the Youngest Indian to climb Everest at the age of 15 Years.

5) Thailand Open Grand Prix : India's Srikanth K clinched the Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold Badminton trophy. In the Men's Singles title clash, 13th seed Srikanth defeated top seed Boonsak Ponsana.

1. Communications and IT Minister Kapil Sibal launches "National Cyber Security Policy 2013" in New Delhi today. This policy will prevent cyberattacks and crimes and reduce national vulnerability to such attacks.
